'It still blows my mind what the female body can do!' Megan Gale, 43, shares rare throwback photo of herself pregnant with daughter Rosie May Dee
'Wearing one of Shaun’s old shirts and my Victoria’s Secret PJ bottoms (the only Vic Secret’s item I was ever going to feel comfortable wearing late in my 3rd trimester, if I’m honest!)' she added.
Megan used the opportunity to marvel over the extraordinary capabilities of the female anatomy.
'It still blows my mind what the female body can do! That’s a #wholelottarosie in that belly!' she wrote.
She concluded the post by encouraging expectant mothers to embrace their pregnancy in spite of the challenging side effects.
'To all the Mamas-to-be out there that are feeling a bit over the pregnancy, ready to pop and are sitting around in their daggy but comfy clothes because nothing else fits,' she wrote.
'Please embrace your beautiful baby-growing-bodies and what they’ve done thus far.
'Try and push the sleep deprivation, aches, pains, heartburn, water retention etc aside for a second and zone in on that beautiful feeling of having a baby moving in your belly. You WILL miss it when they’re out.'
Megan recently opened up about the pressure women face to lose weight after giving birth.
While many celebrities make losing weight after a baby look easy, she said this is not always the case and women should 'not rush the process.'
In a candid Instagram post last month, the inspiring mother-of-two said it's been 'a long hard road to regain strength after having babies.'
'Completely pooped after my running sesh,' she captioned a post-workout selfie.
'Felt good to get out there running again though. It's a long hard road to regain strength after having babies,' she continued adding the hashtag 'respect your body.'
'Got me thinking about the road to recovery after pregnancy and how important it is to not rush the process ie; lose weight and exercise too quickly.'
The actress, who is engaged to her partner of seven years former AFL player Shaun Hampson, 30, is mum to four-year-old son River Alan Thomas and Rosie May Dee, who turns one this month.
In 2015, Megan said she would rather quit modelling than give in to the pressure women face to maintain their youth.
'I am 40 this year and I am mindful by the fact that I don't look like I did back when I was 20,' she told Australian Women's Weekly at the time.

'The baby I was carrying was no longer alive': Megan Gale reflects on her heartbreaking miscarriage as she shares a photo taken just days after losing her unborn child
Megan Gale has spoken about her miscarriage on Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day (15 October).
The mother-of-two, 43, took to Instagram to share her own personal story in order to help women experiencing a similar heartbreak.
She shared a photo of herself taken just days after losing her unborn child and reflected on what she was feeling at the time.
'In June 2016, nine weeks pregnant, I'd gone for a regular check up with my obstetrician who regretfully told me that the baby I was carrying was no longer alive.
'Needless to say the heartbreak and sorrow surrounding the loss was immeasurable.'
Megan explained that she had to spend the next few days travelling and being away from her family due to work commitments.
'[I had to figure out] how to put on my game face to be in front of a TV camera as if all was peachy and look like I do in this photo when all I wanted to do was curl up and cry,' she added.
'To all the women (and couples) who are suffering a similar loss and are also feeling the need to keep this experience to yourself because right now it's so raw and so private, yet they have to suck it up and solider on, I understand you.'
'I stand with you and I feel for you. It's bloody hard to go through that and even harder to put on the game face. It will get easier with time,' she concluded.
Early last year, Megan spoke publicly about her experience of miscarriage for the first time.
She told Yahoo Be that she felt compelled to tell her story because it is so common and shouldn't be a taboo subject.
'It was just a really hard one to navigate and it just made me think: "Oh my God, there are so many women who are going through this",' she said.
